Ongiri are simple, versatile, and delicious! This pork filling is bursting with umami from the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, and garlic. Fresh fluffy rice filled with the delicious pork filling and wrapped in nori is just tooo good! You absolutely have to make it for yourselves. Rainbow Grilled Cheese: Inspired by Le Shiner (レインボーフード), Tokyo

This may be the prettiest sandwich I’ve ever seen! While in Japan, you can get some amazing street food and this Tokyo spot should be on your list! In Harajuku Tokyo, you can get this iconic rainbow grilled cheese from Le Shiner on Takeshita Street. I had to make it at home! If you have food allergies or just aren’t in Japan but want the experience and fun of a rainbow grilled cheese, this one’s for you. Thinly shredded mozzarella cheese + food colouring, carefully arranged on buttered bread and grilled until gooey. That’s it! A delicious treat to give you a taste of Japan at home!
