Inspired by Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, I’m making Spaghetti with Meat Sauce for Fel.

This is a cute isekai anime focused on cooking and oh my god the food looks so amazing. I actually wanted to eat everything in the show!

With so many yummy options, it wasn’t east to choose what to make but I thought that Fel in this scene was especially cute. He devours his plate of spaghetti and ends up absolutely covered in meat sauce. I loved it.

One of the things I like about this show is that it gives you a general recipe that you can follow if you wanted. I did add in a few extra ingredients to the meat sauce like Italian seasoning, fresh minced garlic, chili flakes, I used strained tomatoes instead adding meat sauce, and if you want, I highly recommend adding some red wine to really really enhance the flavour.

A heaping plate of spaghetti and meat sauce is simple to make and super cozy, I definitely understand why Fel couldn’t get enough.

Enjoy!

Cuisine Italian, Japanese

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil enough to coat the bottom of the pot
  • 1 yellow onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1½ - 2 lbs lean ground pork
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ground black pepper
  • 2 796 ml bottles of strained tomatoes
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 boxes dry spaghetti noodles gluten free

Instructions

  • In a medium/large pot over medium heat, coat the bottom of the pot with oil. Sauté the onions until they are soft and the edges are brow (almost burnt). Add the garlic and stir in for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add the ground pork, salt, chili flakes, Italian seasoning, oregano, pepper, and mix together. Continue to cook while breaking up the meat into small pieces.
  • When the meat is browned, add in the strained tomatoes and the red wine (I put the wine in the tomato bottles to get any residual tomatoes out.
  • Stir and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn the heat down to a simmer, partially cover the pot, and continue to cook until the sauces thickens to your liking. Stir occasionally to prevent any bits on the bottom from burner.
  • When the sauce is almost to your liking, cook the spaghetti to the package instructions.
  • Top your spaghetti with nice heaping spoonfulls of the meat sauce on top. Trust me you'll want a lot of it! Enjoy.
