Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle, I’m making one of the most iconic breakfasts in film. Howl’s breakfast spread for Markl and Sophie.

This is one of my favourite films of all time and I am so excited to finally share this creation with you. This is a very simple breakfast, but it is truly delicious! No shame in enjoying the simple things..

Crisp up some bacon (don’t let Calcifer burn it), cook up some nice runny eggs, and serve with fresh bread, a hunk of cheese (I chose an Emmi Swiss cheese), and a freshly steeped pot of tea. If you want to be truly authentic then you have to use a spoon to eat your eggs, and drink your tea out of a bowl. Just saying!

Btw, I actually picked up a gorgeous Harvest loaf of bread from Barnhouse Bakery just outside of the city and it was soo yummy! I was planning to take my time enjoying the loaf but we demolished it really fast.. It was a perfect fit for this classic breakfast too! Gonna have to drive out to pick up more of their goodies for sure…
