Inspired by Wind Breaker, I’m making the fluffy tamago sando that Sakura has on his first day at Furin High school. Tamago sando are really easy to make and super tasty. They are also a konbini favourite for many people and can be found in convenience stores across Japan. Perfectly boiled eggs + kewpie mayo + sugar + salt served with lettuce on some fluffy bread = equals a classic and delicious sando that you are sure to love!

Miso Pork Onigiri for Zoro: Inspired by One Piece (gluten free)

Inspired by Roronoa Zoro, my favourite directionally challenged swordsman! I am making a miso and soy pork filled onigiri that I believe Sanji would have absolutely made for him. Ongiri are simple, versatile, and delicious! This pork filling is bursting with umami from the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, and garlic. Fresh fluffy rice filled with the delicious pork filling and wrapped in nori is just tooo good! You absolutely have to make it for yourselves. I’m sure that if Sanji made these for Zoro, he wouldn’t leave over a single grain of rice, and neither will you!

Ponyo’s Ramen: Inspired by Ponyo (gluten free)

Inspired by Ponyo, I’m making the special ramen that Ponyo and Sosuke enjoy together! This is definitely one of my favourite Studio Ghibli films and I think everyone should see it. Shoyu ramen is very quick to make and always delicious, so with only a handful of ingredients and a few minutes, you have got to try it! Shoyu tare + ramen noodles + fresh green onions + a perfect egg + HAAAAMMM!!! = Ponyo’s perfect bowl of ramen! I know you’re going to love it, so you have to try it for yourself.

Howl’s Breakfast: Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle (gluten free)

Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle, I’m making one of the most iconic breakfasts in film. Howl’s breakfast spread for Markl and Sophie. This is one of my favourite films of all time and I am so excited to finally share this creation with you. Crispy bacon (don’t let Calcifer burn it), runny eggs, fresh bread, a hunk of cheese, and a freshly steeped pot of tea. If you want to be truly authentic then you have to use a spoon to eat your eggs, and drink your tea out of a bowl. Just saying!

This may be the prettiest sandwich I’ve ever seen! While in Japan, you can get some amazing street food and this Tokyo spot should be on your list! In Harajuku Tokyo, you can get this iconic rainbow grilled cheese from Le Shiner on Takeshita Street. I had to make it at home! If you have food allergies or just aren’t in Japan but want the experience and fun of a rainbow grilled cheese, this one’s for you. Thinly shredded mozzarella cheese + food colouring, carefully arranged on buttered bread and grilled until gooey. That’s it! A delicious treat to give you a taste of Japan at home!

Strawberry Soufflé Pancakes: Inspired by Riz Labo Kitchen, Tokyo (gluten free)

You have got to try Japanese Soufflé Pancakes! Light and fluffy pancakes covered in fresh strawberry jam and whipped cream. We ate them at this beautiful little place called Riz Labo Kitchen in Tokyo and we ended up going back multiple times to have more delicious pancakes! A simple recipe with a meringue base, topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, a generous drizzle of jam, and some powdered sugar. I swear you’ll feel like you’re at an adorable café in Tokyo while enjoying these at home!

Rei Papa’s Perfect French Toast: Inspired by Buddy Daddies (gluten free)

Inspired by the finale of Buddy Daddies, I’m making Rei Papa’s perfect French Toast. This is a classic French toast recipe. Brioche bread, soaked in custard, fried up until golden and fluffy, served along side breakfast potatoes, sausages and salad is perfection! Miri claims that Rei Papa’s French toast is the best, and it really is delicious! It’s also super quick and easy to whip up so I highly recommend making this brunch spread!

Inspired by Blue Lock, I’m making Kunigami’s Steak Prize. A well deserved prize for scoring the most goals, Kunigami shares his delicious steak with Isagi. It’s a simple recipe/dish but the boys just absolutely love it! A juice steak slathered in an umami rich sauce, yum! Oh yeah, don’t forget the perfectly cooked veggies. I really enjoyed this anime and am definitely looking forward to season 2!

Inspired by Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill, I’m making a cozy plate of Spaghetti with Meat Sauce for Fel. This is a cute isekai anime focused on cooking and oh my god the food looks so amazing. I actually wanted to eat everything in the show! With so many yummy options, it wasn’t east to choose what to make but I thought that Fel in this scene was especially cute. He devours his plate of spaghetti and ends up absolutely covered in meat sauce. I loved it! A heaping plate of spaghetti and meat sauce is simple to make and super cozy, I definitely understand why Fel couldn’t get enough.
